We are seeking a passionate 2s Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will lead a classroom of young learners, creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports each child’s growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Availability to begin in August 2026 and participate in any required pre-start onboarding or training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Early Childhood Education required.
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to commute to Tenafly, NJ and work in person.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with or exposure to Reggio-inspired learning preferred.
  • CDA certification preferred.
  • Hebrew language skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the classroom and create a warm, nurturing environment for young children.
  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and projects.
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with the school’s philosophy and approach.
  • Create inviting classroom setups with thoughtful provocations and learning experiences.
  • Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive development.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with families.
  • Communicate regularly with families and provide updates on progress.
  • Lead parent-teacher conferences and complete developmental assessments.
  • Collaborate with teaching team throughout the day to support children’s needs.
  • Participate in twice-monthly head teacher meetings and monthly full staff meetings.
  • Support diapering, toilet training, and daily care routines.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting (up to 30 lbs) and active engagement with children.
