About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Systems Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and validation of advanced cooling systems for high-density data center environments. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, thermal performance, and compliance with industry standards through rigorous testing and certification processes.

Requirements

  • Degree or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • BS with 10 years of relevant experience
  • MS with 7 years of relevant experience
  • PhD with 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in CFD and thermal modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, FloTHERM, SolidWorks Flow Simulation).
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.
  • Experience with instrumentation for temperature, pressure, and flow measurement.
  • Familiarity with testing standards such as ASME, ASTM, IEC, and UL.
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data center or mission-critical cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of two-phase cooling and refrigeration systems.
  • Background in automated testing systems and test bench development.
  • Experience with regulatory and environmental compliance (e.g., RoHS, REACH, WEEE).
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering tools and techniques (e.g., FMEA, )

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize thermal systems for high-power-density environments, ensuring robust heat transfer and fluid flow performance.
  • Conduct detailed thermal simulations and CFD modeling to validate system behavior under varying operational conditions.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans including hydrostatic pressure testing, thermal cycling, vibration, and shock testing in accordance with standards such as ASME, IEC, and ASTM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical integrity, material compatibility, and corrosion resistance of wetted components.
  • Analyze field data and lab results to drive continuous improvement in system reliability and efficiency.
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts including safety, EMC, and environmental certifications (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS, REACH).
  • Author technical documentation including test protocols, certification reports, and installation guidelines.
