SandyPines is seeking a dynamic and talented Therapist. SandyPines is a 149 bed Residential Psychiatric Facility servicing children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. The facility is located in beautiful sub-tropical South Florida and is nestled beside Jonathan Dickinson Sate Park which creates a rustic, roomy outdoor atmosphere. SandyPines is at the county line of both Palm Beach and Martin Counties and is just minutes away from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. The Therapist is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team who acts as a liasion between the Facility, the SAMH Program Office, the CBC's, and the patient's family. Therapists provide clinical and case management services to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a relevant Human Services Field, with 2 years expeirence working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance, and their families, required.
  • Detail oriented and ability to successfully multi task in a fast pace environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and organization skills.
  • Highly effective listening skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts group therapy as assigned. Group topics are appropriate, demonstrate creativity, are non repetitive, and demonstrate relevance to the resident’s goals/objectives. Documentation supports relevance to the resident’s goals/objectives and how they responded to the group topic.
  • Individual/Family Progress notes utilize the B.I.R.P. method, are comprehensive and detail the client’s progress, or lack thereof, toward completion of treatment plan goals/objectives.
  • Individual/Family Progress notes reference the goal/objective addressed during the session(s).
  • Exercises good clinical judgment when treating all clients.
  • Demonstrates competence in service delivery for co-occurring disorders. Demonstrates an understanding of the stages of change and interventions to be utilized for each stage.
