About The Position

AECOM is seeking a full-time Lead Texas CEI Sr. Project Manager to be based in Austin, TX. The role involves growing the Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Market in Texas as a Senior PM, developing work and performing PM duties as needed. Target clients include TxDOT, Toll Road Authorities & RMA’s, and may also include clients in other governmental agencies and private work. Responsibilities include developing a detailed CEI business development plan, identifying strategic partners, leading proposal writing efforts, and maintaining contact with TxDOT DOCs and AEs. The position also requires developing and maintaining a trained staff, ensuring project KPIs are met, and conducting project reviews.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
  • Drivers license required.
  • PE license required in TX or ability to obtain the license in six months.

Nice To Haves

  • 15+ years of transportation experience.
  • Microsoft Office excel, word, and video conferencing skills.
  • Working knowledge of TxDOT Site Manager or AASHTOWare Project- CM (APCM) or equivalent.
  • TxDOT Precertification requirements: Have obtained 11.1.1, 11.2.1, 11.5.1, 11.9.1, 22.1.1, 5.2.1, 4.2.1 or can be obtained within 3 months after hire date.
  • Preferred Previous Experience- TxDOT Area Engineer, Assist. AE, Director of Construction (DOC), Assist. DOC, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Grow the Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Market in Texas as Senior PM.
  • Develop a detailed CEI business development plan with scalable milestones.
  • Identify strategic partners and develop teaming partnerships.
  • Lead proposal writing efforts and interview presentations.
  • Conduct regular visits and maintain contact with TxDOT DOCs and AEs.
  • Develop and maintain a trained staff for CEI projects.
  • Ensure the Client is billed on time and participate in biweekly status meetings.
  • Conduct Project Reviews including Safety.
  • Perform CEI PM duties for CEI Contracts.
