CACI is seeking a Lead Automation Test Engineer to join our team and support the Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology (IT) (BEAGLE) contract.   • Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test strategies for complex web and mobile applications supporting mission critical systems.
  • Define, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and best practices, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber (BDD).
  • Mentor and guide test engineers, provide technical expertise, code reviews.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes and tools.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum development methodology ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, scrum, backlog refinement, defining tasks/tests, estimating LOE, testing, tracking work done, retrospective, demonstration, etc.)
  • Champion quality software.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation.
  • Expertise in Manual Functional Testing processes, Automated Testing (Java, Selenium, Cucumber, SQL), and Continuous Integration.
  • College degree (B.S. or greater) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in an IT related field with 5-7 or more years analyzing, designing, and implementing software test automation solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Java for test automation development.
  • Expert-level experience with Selenium WebDriver for building and maintaining robust web automation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience with Cucumber/Gherkin (BDD) for defining and executing automated test scenarios.
  • Advanced SQL querying skills for backend validation, data manipulation, and database testing.
  • Expertise with API testing (e.g., authentication, response codes, payload creation, payload validation) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
  • Proficiency with test management tools (Jira preferred) and version control systems (Git preferred).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing applications deployed in the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with accessibility Section 508 testing using ANDI.
