About The Position

The Lead Teller at Truliant Federal Credit Union is responsible for overseeing daily teller operations, ensuring adherence to service standards, and providing leadership to the teller team. This role involves coaching team members, managing transactions, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures while fostering a positive environment that prioritizes member service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years related experience in the retail industry, preferably in financial services.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and previous sales experience preferred.
  • Good arithmetic skills and basic personal computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized with the ability to work under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services is preferred.
  • Ability to resolve member complaints and coach others effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day teller operations to ensure consistency with established goals and service standards.
  • Engage the teller team in meaningful financial conversations with members and record these interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to Credit Union member service standards during every member interaction.
  • Support member service operations, including new member enrollment and account issue resolution.
  • Monitor teller transactions for accuracy and minimal errors.
  • Assist management with branch cash audits and ensure compliance with balancing standards.
  • Schedule teller operations to ensure sufficient staff coverage during service hours.
  • Mentor new tellers and assist in their professional development.
  • Train the teller team on new policies and procedures and evaluate their comprehension.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding hiring and performance appraisals of the teller team.
