About The Position

The work schedule is two (2) 12-hr shifts 7:30am-8pm, 48 hours biweekly as well as any meetings or trainings that are required by the department. Eligible for full-time benefits. Call shifts required. Previous Coordinator or Leadership experience desired. This position coordinates daily operations during the shift and is designated by the Director/Manager or designee to promote consistency of the department. The Lead Technologist possesses strong clinical skills and leadership abilities, uses clear and effective communication, exhibits interdepartmental collaboration and teamwork, can multi-task, delegate, prioritize, and utilize critical thinking to meet departmental needs. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: A. Receive a general report on the department from Radiology Manager(s). Possess an overall knowledge of staffing/scheduling and will assist in promoting team efforts or reassignments. Able to adjust workload assignments and assure appropriate staffing to meet weekend needs B. Assign meal/break times. Facilitate thirty minutes for meal/break time. The Weekend Lead is accountable for provision of care and monitor staff time on or off the unit. They agree to maintain adequate staff levels and restrict staff as needed. C. Operate PACS, Powerscribe and other systems, as needed Troubleshoot issues or escalate to TriMedx or Radiology call teams, as needed Move images in PACS, as needed Cloud/transfer patient images, as needed Assist with coordinating systems repair between TriMedx or Radiology call teams D. Assist Radiologists with staffing, system and equipment issues. E. Oversee disaster events and run department operations until relieved by Director or Clinical Manager. G. This is a working tech position. This person will do X-Ray, IR and MRI exams during their shift. H. While on shift, accomplish activities or may delegate (these common duties may not be all inclusive for each department). Daily, weekly, and monthly duties i.e., code carts checks, etc Be the primary point of contact for department during shift related to staffing needs, concerns for oncoming shifts and status of patients Participate in unit specific quality and safety improvement including audits. Attend routine huddles to optimize unit operations and communication. Coach department associates as appropriate using just culture algorithm including providing real-time feedback, as needed. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Radiology is required for employment.
  • 1-2 years of Leadership Experience
  • Current licensure by the Indiana State
  • ARRT Certification
  • CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Coordinator or Leadership experience desired.
  • Bachelor of Science preferred.
