About The Position
The Lead Technician position at Alliance Technical Group offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced Monitoring Technicians looking to advance their careers. This role is designed for individuals who are ready to take the next step towards becoming a BWON Technician, which is a pivotal position within the organization. The Lead Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards in a petroleum refinery or chemical processing facility. This position not only provides a competitive salary ranging from $22 to $25 per hour but also includes attractive benefits such as quarterly bonuses, a 401K match, and paid time off (PTO) that begins the month after starting. In this role, the Lead Technician will engage in numerous responsibilities, including conducting inspections and change-outs of carbon canisters, performing visual inspections of drain systems and sewer lines, and utilizing FLIR cameras for inspections. The technician will also be involved in sampling benzene fencelines, conducting weekly hazardous waste inspections, and managing hazardous waste spill clean-ups. The position requires physical stamina as it involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, and the technician must be prepared to carry equipment and tools weighing up to 30 lbs. Safety is paramount, and all outdoor work will be conducted while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). The Lead Technician will also be expected to perform confined space work and participate in stormwater runoff inspections, ensuring that all operations adhere to safety and environmental standards.
