About the position

The Lead Technician in Technical Services at Copeland is a key role focused on providing expert technical support for refrigeration controls and HVACR systems. This position involves remote assistance to customers and internal teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of Copeland products. The technician will also create documentation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain a deep understanding of refrigeration technology to enhance customer satisfaction and system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance related to Copeland controlled HVACR systems.
  • Provide remote technical assistance via phone, email, or virtual platforms to address inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist customers with onboarding of Copeland controls into the enterprise software suite.
  • Create and provide comprehensive documentation for users, such as setup guides and FAQs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and control issues.
  • Collaborate with customers and technicians to guide them through problem-solving processes.
  • Implement adjustments, upgrades, or modifications to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.

Requirements

  • Associate's (AA) degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 5-10 years of experience related to Refrigeration, HVAC, and Controls, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database, Internet software, E-mail, Windows XP, Windows 7.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified in the use and handling of refrigerants preferred.
