About The Position

This is a working superintendent position — on-site, on the tools, and in control of production. Ideal for a skilled tradesperson who thrives in both leadership and fieldwork, this role involves overseeing multiple residential and commercial rebuilds while maintaining active participation in the work. You’ll ensure all projects meet SCR’s standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in remodeling, structural repair, or restoration.
  • Advanced skills in Carpentry, Drywall, Painting, Flooring, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Highly skilled in project sequencing, prioritization, and the simultaneous management of multiple job sites.
  • Deep understanding of building codes and best construction practices.
  • Attention to detail is a must — finish work must be exemplary.
  • Ability to interpret plans, scopes, and insurance estimates. (Xactimate)
  • Leads by example and fosters a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High school diploma or GED (trade certifications or IICRC credentials preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check (no felony convictions).
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and communication).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work 40–50+ hours per week.
  • Physically able to lift 75–100 lbs, climb ladders up to 40’, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Willingness to work in environments impacted by fire, water, or mold damage.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with job management software (e.g., PSA, Encircle, XactAnalysis, or similar) is a plus.
  • Prior restoration industry experience (water, fire, or mold) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and participate in demolition, structural repair, and reconstruction activities.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality craftsmanship.
  • Prepare and maintain project material & inventory lists, track usage, and coordinate procurement and delivery.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Oversee both in-house crews and subcontractors for productivity and workmanship standards.
  • Mentor and train team members in best trade practices and restoration techniques.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain production schedules and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment for accountability and condition.
  • Participate in after-hours emergency response and storm deployment rotations as needed.
  • Assist with fire, mold, and water remediation projects as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and safe job site at all times.
