About The Position

The Facilities Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of assigned facilities, ensuring all systems, equipment, and spaces are safe, functional, and compliant. This role serves as the on-site lead for facilities technicians, coordinates with contractors and vendors, and ensures the timely completion of maintenance tasks and projects. The Facilities Lead combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and adherence to company standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of facilities technicians and provide direction, support, and feedback.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for on-site facilities operations.
  • Train and mentor team members, promoting safety and operational best practices.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, security, etc.).
  • Ensure all facilities work meets company standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to service requests, escalating urgent issues as needed.
  • Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, fire safety codes, and environmental requirements along with EHS Manager.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, inspection logs, and maintenance records.
  • Support company safety initiatives and participate in safety audits and training.
  • Coordinate vendor work schedules and verify quality of completed work.
