About The Position

Immediate opening for an experienced Lead Technical Systems Engineer to support a high-visibility initiative involving the planning, design, and deployment of a mission-critical system. This system will be integrated with other enterprise-level mission platforms within an established operational environment. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborative problem-solving and has demonstrated success delivering reliable, high-quality technical solutions.

In this role, the engineer will partner closely with product leadership and key stakeholders to support workflow and business process analysis, define functional needs, and translate them into clear technical requirements. The position also involves close collaboration with delivery leadership and cross-functional teams, including agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, execution, testing, and review demonstrations.

Requirements

• Candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
• 5+ years in a Lead position is required.
• At least five years of experience performing in a Lead System Engineer role for a software development team
• Familiarity with software development using Unix/Linux, Java or Java Spring frameworks, RESTful micro-services (Spring Boot), and Cloud-based architecture and deployment (Amazon Web Services)
• Working collaboratively to elicit and document functional and technical requirements
• Acting as liaison between customers and the development team, to include managing customer expectations
• Comprehending and articulating intricate technical details to various audiences
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
