As a Lead Technical Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing aimed at supporting the adoption and rationalization of technologies requiring technical expertise in emerging industry technology categories. This includes 3rd party/hybrid/on-premise cloud solutions, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) software, Radio Access Networks, Next Gen Business Support Systems, Automation, transformational SaaS and PaaS, disaggregated network solutions, data warehouse and analytics, and direct chip supplier relationships. You will support a technical client organization and cross-functional technical programs/projects to drive forward progress in AT&T technology. In this role, you will assist client organizations in setting strategies to support business processes and post-contract sourcing operations for strategic and broad supplier relationships. You will engage in strategic planning and big thinking that incorporates technology development and advancement across various domains including cloud, hardware, software, XaaS, IoT, AI/ML, and Automation. Your technological expertise will be crucial in providing appropriate sourcing and cost analysis support to ensure solutions conform to technology strategies. This includes understanding the offerings, costs, and alternatives, negotiating security controls, and analyzing software SKUs to ensure comprehensive solutions are proposed. You will also review architecture to determine applicable cloud terms for contracts, understand technology cost drivers, and transform technical requirements into contractual obligations. Your role will require fluency in operating systems, cores, containers, sockets, and network technologies to negotiate relevant terms for asset management and compliance. Additionally, you will manage business processes, cost management, and governance to ensure a single version of truth for enterprise spend data, while also applying risk management expertise to make informed decisions. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work seamlessly across companies, cultures, functions, and geographies to drive change and action. You will leverage best practices knowledge from various industries and apply those learnings to AT&T. Project management skills will be essential as you oversee projects that may involve cross-functional teams.
