Our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company's premier vacation brands including Disney's Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. The DX Technology & Digital team is responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney! As a Lead Technical Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through completion. This position reports to the Manager of Technology Project Management within the 3PO team (Portfolio, Program, and Project Organization).

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions.
• Understanding of APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle, engineering and/or product development.
• Influence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mapping.
• Hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall as well as extensive experience with pragmatic blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery.
• Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD).
• Significant experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall.
• Strong ability to interpret and navigate architectural and technical aspects of complex projects.
• Highly organized with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
• Proven experience managing large-scale budgets and financial oversight.

Nice To Haves

• Technical project management experience in Commerce or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Agile Certifications ie CSM; ACP; CPO; SAFe; LeSS.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-priority, multi-site strategic programs and cross-functional projects through the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering teams (Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership) to establish scalable processes that drive success and efficiency across program areas.
• Guide and support junior technical project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to align engineering efforts with program goals.
• Define, optimize, and manage Agile ceremonies and processes at the team-of-teams level.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including scope, RAID logs, plans, and budgets.
• Reconcile actuals, adjust forecasts, and communicate budget updates and billing changes to leadership.
• Align resource capacity with project plans and collaborate with managers to balance workload and budget.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks; manage scope changes and assess impact on timelines and budgets.
• Communicate risks, issues, and solutions transparently to stakeholders.
• Lead stakeholder coordination and ensure alignment on goals and timelines.
• Own communication plans, manage expectations, and deliver weekly updates, dashboards, and executive presentations.
