About The Position

The position involves researching, designing, and developing J2EE applications using various database management systems, including Oracle and SQL Server. The candidate will be responsible for programming in Java/J2EE and conducting advanced source code reviews. The role requires analyzing software requirements to assess the feasibility of technical designs within time and cost constraints, as well as driving projects from conception to completion. The candidate will also analyze, design, and document system implementations, extensions, and modifications, ensuring compliance with best practices for design and deployment. Additionally, the role includes reviewing extended code, deploying builds, and collaborating with functional teams to validate all changes. The candidate will coordinate project development activities, including project estimates, scheduling, and deliverables. Conducting code reviews for system modifications and development is also a key responsibility. The candidate will review code from the source repository for system modifications and development, confirming that all code is checked into the appropriate branch based on the branching strategy. The position requires conducting requirements gathering, functional and technical analysis, and designing feasibility strategies for developing software products and integrating them into existing systems. The candidate will ensure the implementation of various Oracle Retail applications and collaborate with offshore teams to efficiently complete project deliverables. The role also involves developing software system programming and technical design procedures, as well as technical testing and documentation. The candidate will guide troubleshooting and resolution of software issues and consult with customers regarding technical design and development of software applications and modifications. The position allows for remote work within a reasonable commuting distance of the headquarters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related field.
• 5 years of progressive experience as a technical engineer or related position.
• 5 years of experience with technical design feasibility, development, and modification procedures.
• 5 years of experience with software system programming and technical documentation.
• 5 years of experience with source code review for system modifications and development.
• 5 years of experience with requirements gathering, functional and technical analysis, and design feasibility strategy for product development and system integration.
• 5 years of experience with database management systems (Oracle and SQL Server) and programming languages (Java/J2EE).
• Experience implementing Oracle Retail applications.
