About The Position

Celebree School of Northbrook is a nurturing early childhood education center serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Our infant program is a loving environment where our youngest learners feel safe, secure, and supported as they grow and develop. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate lead teacher for our infant, toddler, two's and preschool rooms. Requirements

  • Prior experience working with in a licensed childcare setting
  • Meets Illinois DCFS qualifications for Lead Teacher (education and experience)
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing teaching style
  • Dependable, organized, and confident in classroom leadership
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a classroom in compliance with Illinois DCFS licensing requirements
  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily routines
  • Foster secure attachments through responsive, nurturing care
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers in the classroom
  • Observe, document, and support infant developmental milestones
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with families
  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed
