About The Position

The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing a developmentally appropriate program for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. The Lead Teacher is responsible for fostering professionalism throughout the Center.

Requirements

  • Child Development Associate Certificate or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or degree from an Accredited College with related coursework.
  • Experience as a lead or assistant teacher in a childcare center.
  • In accordance with DSS requirements, CPR and First Aid certification by the National Safety Council must be successfully completed within 90 days of employment.
  • Communicates effectively with infants, children and adults and has strong oral and written skills.
  • Requires a mature individual who can work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an accredited child care center preferred.
