As a key player of our Child Development Center team, the Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall classroom atmosphere, the curriculum, the development of each child to their full potential and communication with parents and other classroom staff. As a center, we are committed to our vision as a place where staff, children and their families are a part of a learning community in which they experience a sense of wonder, play, adventure, investigation, and support.

Requirements

  • Ability to care for young children in a group setting.
  • Ability to work with others as a team.
  • High School Diploma
  • Infant/ Child/ Adult CPR and First aid (30 days post hire)
  • Core Curriculum Training (60 days post hire)
  • Negative TB Test (every two years)
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Able to pass multiple-screen drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred

  • Candidate must be able and ENJOY working with ages 6 weeks – Pre-K and be responsible for knowing developmental differences.
  • Punctual, reliable, creative, and a self-starter
  • Attend all required staff meetings and trainings
  • Completes required abuse risk management training.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures in managing high-risk activities and appropriate boundaries of supervision.
  • Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to supervisor.
  • Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements to authorities.
