About The Position

Lead Teacher – Two-Year-Old Classroom Position Overview: We are seeking an energetic, confident, and consistent Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old classroom. This individual should be warm and nurturing, with a strong backbone—someone who sets clear expectations, provides structure, and understands that while schedules are important, flexibility is essential in early childhood environments. Our ideal candidate is a team-oriented educator with strong communication skills who shows initiative and is passionate about helping two-year-olds grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally as they prepare for a successful transition into the preschool program.

  • An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (Preferred) , Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field (Preferred) , including 18 semester hours of coursework related to children from birth to age 8
  • A current CDA (Child Development Associate) or Early Childhood Teaching Credential
  • Proof of current and active enrollment in a CDA Credentialing Program
  • Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a structured yet flexible daily schedule , recognizing that not every day will look the same
  • Learn, implement, and follow the school’s curriculum with consistency and enthusiasm
  • Support children through potty training using patience, encouragement, and collaboration with families
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with families, coworkers, and administration
  • Use positive behavior guidance strategies while maintaining clear classroom expectations
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers and support staff
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying classroom needs and proactively offering support
  • Support children’s developmental growth to ensure readiness for the preschool classroom
  • Maintain compliance with all state licensing, health, and safety requirements
