About The Position

Children of America is seeking college students in Early Childhood Education for a hands-on internship. Under the guidance of a Lead Teacher and School Director, interns will gain classroom leadership experience, assist with curriculum planning, and support child development in a licensed childcare setting.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an Early Childhood Education or related college program
  • Strong interest in child development and classroom leadership
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to commit to full-time schedule with flexibility for school needs
  • Completion of background checks and health screenings required
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

Nice To Haves

  • CDA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support daily programming and developmental activities for children
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment
  • Assist with documentation, family communication, and classroom organization
  • Collaborate with staff and participate in training and mentorship sessions
  • Uphold COA's values, policies, and licensing standards
