About the position
The Infant Lead Teacher at Miniapple Montessori, part of Cadence Education, is responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for infants. This role involves collaborating with a team of dedicated educators to implement a research-based curriculum that supports child development. The position emphasizes open communication with parents and staff, ensuring that each child's milestones are documented and shared. The Infant Lead Teacher plays a crucial role in fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages social behavior and developmental growth among children.
Responsibilities
- Accept the philosophy of Cadence Education and work as part of the teaching team.
- Encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the center.
- Document and share with parents the important milestones in a child's day.
- Collaborate with other preschool teachers and leaders to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Respect and observe children's interests, intervening when needed to maintain safety.
- Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities.
- Encourage and model developmentally appropriate social behavior and expectations.
- Share ideas in planning a daily schedule that balances various activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
- Previous experience as an Infant teacher.
- High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field.
- Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher required.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills preferred.
