About The Position

East End Prep, located in the heart of East Nashville, is empowering Kindergarten - 8th grade scholars with the foundation necessary to excel in high school and college completion. Requirements

  • Candidates applying for a lead teaching role must have an active Tennessee teaching license
  • Candidates without a teaching license can serve as Instructional Support during the current school year and must be willing to pursue teacher licensure starting the 2025-2026 school year

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, internalize, and deliver a rigorous, standards-aligned scripted curriculum
  • Use scholar work and assessment data to inform instruction and target intervention
  • Engage in coaching meetings to deepen content expertise and develop instructional mastery
  • Provide families with guidance and resources around helping their scholar with their schoolwork at home
  • Serve as the main point of contact for families to communicate scholar academic progress and other school information
  • Track and input daily student behavior feedback to share with families
  • Uphold East End Prep's core values at all times
  • Own arrival duty, recess or lunch duty (as assigned), and dismissal duty
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences, Kick Off Night, and other school-wide events
  • Engage in ongoing professional development programming, including summer training and PD sessions throughout the year
