About The Position
The Lead Tannery Ringer is responsible for assisting the supervisor with tanned loads and training new team members in Tannery Wring, Wring stacking, and forklift duties. This role requires effective verbal communication with supervisors, other departments, and co-workers. The Lead must be dependable, self-motivated, and willing to work flexible hours, including coming in early or staying late when necessary. The position requires working all shifts, including weekends, and being available for overtime. Physical tasks include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching. The work environment can be cold, damp, hot, humid, and involve slippery surfaces.
Requirements
- Experience in the hides/tannery division
- Written and verbal communication skills to be able to provide feedback to Management team
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Candidates with 6 or more attendance points and/or any suspension discipline on file within last 12 months at the time of posting will not be considered
- This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
