About The Position

The Lead, Systems Engineer position is part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communications platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with nine (9) years of Systems Engineering experience supporting the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communications platforms.
  • Graduate Degree with seven (7) years of Systems Engineering experience supporting the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communications platforms.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of Systems Engineering experience supporting the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communications platforms. f prior related experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Active Top Secret with SCI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze system requirements, derive specifications, and manage requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Understand system architectures and interface designs, ensuring cohesive integration of subsystems.
  • Able to read, interpret, create, and maintain spreadsheets, charts, reports, investigation and test plans, and procedures.
  • Perform system and subsystem troubleshooting to a subcomponent level.
  • Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Perform verification and validation of systems and subsystems to ensure compliance with design specifications and customer requirements.
  • Identify and solve problems using logical engineering thought processes.
  • Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Visio, Doors, JIRA.
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals.
  • Communicate clearly (written and verbally) to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Aircraft system integration and ground/flight test support.
  • Software coding and development.
  • Work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, et al) is required to generate work products.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
