We are currently seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support operations in Charleston, SC. This is a full-time CONUS position requiring an active DoD Top Secret clearance. As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing secure communication and information systems, that support U.S. government missions and enterprise operations.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years with Master’s or 14 years with Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, with direct, hands-on work with CSfC capability packages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, secure environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing DAR solutions using commercial encryption technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of NSA CSfC Capability Packages, high assurance architectures, and secure mobility frameworks.
  • Experience with commercial security products from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, VMWare, or Juniper.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP/CCIE Security, or other professional-level certifications.
  • Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies
  • Available to Travel up to 45 days per year / several weeklong CONUS and OCONUS trips
  • Must have an active passport to support OCONUS travel and/or living requirements.
  • Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil
  • This position requires working in a stressful environment, dealing with conflict, working under pressure and with strict deadlines, focus and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful background investigation
  • Alcohol and Drug screening may be required for federal contract compliance

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure communication solutions using layered commercial products that comply with NSA's CSfC program requirements.
  • Develop and manage Data-at-Rest (DAR) architectures in line with CSfC capability packages to ensure multi-layer encryption.
  • Create and maintain compliant CSfC solutions for a variety of applications including mobility, network enclaves, and remote access.
  • Incorporate and ensure interoperability with coalition and partner networks, maintaining security and compliance across disparate environments.
  • Produce comprehensive engineering documentation, such as system designs, configuration guides, and security artifacts for accreditation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify and address system vulnerabilities, and enhance the security of classified communication systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting and incident response support in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure secure and efficient end-to-end system performance.
