We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and validation of Intel-based hardware systems used in mission-critical government applications. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of systems engineering, hardware performance, and software integration, helping ensure systems are optimized, tested, and ready for deployment. You will contribute across the full system lifecycle—from evaluation and analysis through testing, integration, and system upgrades—while providing technical leadership to support cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Six (6)+ years of professional experience in systems engineering
  • Experience working with hardware/software integration and system performance analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle (design, integration, testing, and validation)
  • Strong expertise in Linux environments (administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning)
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, and computing hardware (CPU, GPU, NICs, RAID, NVMe, etc.)
  • Experience with debugging tools such as Wireshark, Valgrind, or similar
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Familiarity with RF concepts or RF-based systems
  • Experience with server configuration and integration (Dell preferred)
  • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams supporting system development and integration
  • Analyze hardware and software interfaces to optimize performance and resource utilization
  • Support system design, development, testing, debugging, and configuration activities
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and technical solutions
  • Assist users with system integration, troubleshooting, and operational support
  • Install, configure, and manage system utilities, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues across hardware and software environments
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to support system troubleshooting and resolution
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, releases, and custom interface implementations
