About The Position

Demonstrates expertise in project management to include the use of tools; plan and schedule tasks based on a project timeline, establish tasks and appropriate dependence to set timeline and achieve desired target dates. Ensures the development of system documentation to include relevant P&P relating to security, integrity, and functional areas of a system. Evaluates development and implementation of information systems to ensure desired goals and objectives are met. Collaborates with Healthcare professionals using automation to ensure appropriate, effective usage and understanding of systems. Participates in the development of requests for proposals and be involved in pre-contract negotiation of information systems. Provides leadership in system selection and evaluation process in coordination with functional departments.

Requirements

  • Trained professional with knowledge of Healthcare/I.S. normally acquired through seven-plus years of college or Technical School or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experienced in using Project Management tools and the ability to present information in a precise and understandable manner to the end-users, team members, management, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements I.S. applications using project management skills and tools.
  • Completes phases of the project including analysis, design of tables and files, report formats and matrices, testing, user training, documentation, implementation, and follow-up.
  • Analyzes documents and completes I.S. maintenance activities and end-user change requests, and follows established change management processes.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and resolves I.S. user and system problems.
  • Works with users to identify and implement process improvements through technology.
  • Develop inter-departmental relationships.
  • Ability to give formal presentations at all levels.
  • Mentor Analysts.
  • Actively contribute to functional teams, organizational committees, and QITs.
  • Perform cost analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Promotes a positive team environment.
  • Support department/strategic goals set by management.
  • Actively supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization.
  • Completes all required orientation, complies with policies, and accepts personal responsibility for mandatory in-service requirements.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
