About the position
The Lead Systems Analyst will be responsible for designing and developing complex SSIS solutions, as well as creating automated operational reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services. This role requires a strong background in SQL BI Stack tools and a focus on emerging technologies, making it essential for the candidate to have experience in data analytics and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop moderate to complex SSIS solutions.
- Develop automated operational reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Architect and develop solutions for data transformations using Microsoft SSIS/SQL ETL tools.
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL database objects and security.
- Debug and tune existing SSIS/ETL processes for efficient data movement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to document business requirements for ETL and report design.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Research issues and set up proof of concept tests.
- Support quality acceptance testing and refine test plans.
- Lead design review sessions with the scrum team to validate requirements.
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and determine root causes.
- Coach and mentor junior resources within the team.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL BI Stack including SSIS, SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX.
- 5+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in SQL programming utilizing SSIS/SSRS and Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, and T-SQL, preferably on Azure and/or SQL 2016+.
- Experience working with Azure SQL Database, DevOps, GIT, and Continuous Integration (CI).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of C#.
- Familiarity with healthcare data and concepts, including QNXT.
