Validate current and new cross domain system functions and tests them with regards to system-level behavior against system-level functional and dysfunctional requirements Developing and implementing infotainment system integration test design and specifications. The engineer will write (automated) test cases and execute those in complex test environments (including automated xIL benches and vehicle set-ups) and/or complex systems under test Participates in test capability growth initiatives to implement the organization’s vision and or pushes to accelerate roadmap implementation Applies best practices for test concepts in ADAS, infotainment, Propulsion, Brain and/or telematics projects Works in cross-functional teams and challenges product design from the start by systematically testing available system designs, either by testing requirement models or any implemented artefact as system under test Review and assess test results, develop root-cause hypothesis and communicate issues as well as solution and/or containment proposals to the system/software design responsible teams, including creation of metrics for SW quality and maturity and risk assessment to implement planned scope of work within time (sprints, PIs) Supports and maintains xIL (SIL/HIL/MIL) bench assets used for system integration and validation, ensuring benches reflect production-intent hardware and software architecture. Performs HIL bench bring-up, including wiring harness layout, ECU power distribution, sensor/actuator simulation configuration, network routing (CAN/LIN/Ethernet), and signal integrity verification. Leads the installation, flashing, and configuration of ECU software, bootloaders, middleware components, diagnostics services, and infotainment/ADAS application stacks on bench setups. Troubleshoots complex hardware-software interactions on HIL benches, including power issues, network misconfigurations, signal mapping mismatches, timing conflicts, and test automation toolchain failures. Maintains bench lifecycle activities such as component updates, hardware replacements, calibration of simulation components, continuous health monitoring, and alignment with current E/E architecture releases. Works closely with system architects to ensure HIL benches correctly simulate mixed-domain interactions across infotainment, connectivity, ADAS, propulsion, and body systems. Develops and executes validation concepts that integrate physical ECUs, virtualized components, sensor models, and backend connectivity through the HIL test environment. Ensures that bench environments support automated execution of regression, integration, exploratory, and stress tests for multiple domains and project lines.
