About The Position

Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation. The Lead System Designer has the responsibility to design and develop photon counting CT products delivering customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory, compliance, and cost. Activities include CT feature and clinical application development, requirements definition and flow down, system architecture design and analysis, hardware and electromechanical and software components integration, FMEA development, developing/executing system verification and validation test procedures, reliability testing and supporting the problem solving and development solutions for manufacturing and customers issues. At GE Healthcare, our passionate people are creating the products, solutions and services our customers need to deliver the best patient care possible.
