About The Position

SafeSplash Swim School is hiring dependable, confident, and organized Lead Swim Instructors / Operations Assistants to support daily swim school operations. This role combines hands-on swim instruction with leadership responsibilities. You will help keep lessons running smoothly, support instructors, assist families, and serve as the on-site point person during shifts. This is a step-up role for individuals who want consistent hours, leadership experience, and growth opportunity.

  • Must be capable of teaching infants through adults (ages 4 months and up)
  • Must be willing to obtain Lifeguard and other certifications if requested
  • Prior experience as a swim instructor, lifeguard or in water safety roles is essential
  • Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education enhances your ability to motivate learners
  • Proven experience working with children or students in educational or recreational settings
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques to handle diverse student needs effectively
  • Experience working in health clubs or gyms that offer swimming or aquatic fitness classes is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Teach swim lessons as scheduled
  • Step in to cover classes when instructors are absent
  • Ensure safety and lesson quality standards are followed
  • Teach swimmers from infants (4 months) through adults
  • Serve as on-site shift lead
  • Assist with onboarding and training new instructors
  • Support instructors with questions and guidance
  • Communicate staffing needs to the owner
  • Greet parents and swimmers
  • Assist with customer concerns
  • Communicate schedule updates when needed
  • Assist with scheduling and attendance tracking
  • Report facility or equipment issues
  • Help prepare locations for quality assurance visits
