About The Position

Lead Surgical Technician at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance Hospital in Torrance, CA. This is a full-time position that will work 8-hour day shifts. The Coordinator, Perioperative Specialty role is a Surgical Technician role who is a non-licensed health care employee performing the surgical scrub role and who works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include reviewing preference lists and picking the supplies and instruments for a procedure; performing a surgical scrub and preparing the back table with the appropriate sterile instrumentation and supplies; providing support intra-operatively by anticipating the surgeon's needs and passing him/her the appropriate instrumentation and supplies when needed during the case; completing the cycle by taking instruments and equipment to the decontamination area at the end of the procedure and putting away left over supplies and equipment. Requirements

• Successfully completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 years experience as a Surgical Technician in Operating Room.

Responsibilities
