Our surgical and endoscopy teams are committed to excellence, innovation, and teamwork. We’re looking for a motivated Lead Surgical Technician / Endo Tech to join our team and help us continue delivering outstanding care across our centers. The Lead Surgical Technician / Endo Tech plays a key leadership role within the surgical and endoscopy departments. This position assists in managing daily responsibilities of the surgical tech team, prioritizing assignments, and coordinating workflow. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who leads by example—providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This individual supports physicians and anesthesia providers during endoscopic and surgical procedures, prepares and maintains equipment and procedure rooms, assists with patient care before and after sedation, and ensures compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant or EMT certification
  • Surgical Assistant license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • 2+ years as a surgical technician
  • 1+ year of endoscopy experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and workflow management for surgical tech staff.
  • Train and onboard new staff in procedural protocols and scope cleaning/sterilization.
  • Manage competency requirements for all surgical and scope technicians.
  • Oversee infection control tracking and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Maintain supply inventory, place orders, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms for surgical and endoscopy cases.
  • Assist surgical teams during procedures and ensure all instruments are accounted for.
  • Handle and label specimens accurately for laboratory delivery.
  • Support pre- and post-operative patient care, including vitals, instructions, and transport.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate inventory or equipment status as needed.
