About The Position

As the Lead Support staff, you will oversee daily operations during an assigned shift in the sober living environment, ensuring clients and stakeholders are receiving outstanding service. The Shift Lead’s responsibilities include delegating tasks, prioritizing the needs of clients, and reporting issues to supervisors. Shift lead will also be tasked with the training of new team members and be the go-to for crisis or emergency interventions when they arise. Founded in 2012, Axiom Care is a Phoenix-based behavioral health organization that aims to ensure every Arizonan has access to compassionate, effective substance use treatment. With facilities in Maricopa and Pinal Counties, we offer comprehensive services including 24/7 observation, inpatient detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and recovery housing with a focus on underserved populations. Beyond our full-continuum community programs, we proudly operate specialty programs for the justice-involved (in partnership with ADCRR), for members of the Navajo Nation (in partnership with the Navajo Department of Health), and for Veterans (co-located on the Victory Place campus). Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience leading teams of employees
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Negative TB Test (Residential locations)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations during an assigned shift in the sober living environment.
• Delegating tasks and prioritizing needs during assigned shifts. Ensuring that all tasks and work assignments are being completed during the scheduled shift.
• Train new staff members and assist in educating all staff members on updated policies and processes.
• Monitoring clients for program standards and safety, staying in constant communication with Supervisor to ensure the best decisions are made for each client.
• Ensure that clients adhere to facility rules. Guidance and assurance of program guidelines and requirements at the RC & RF, and wherever and whenever in the presence of active program participants.
• Record keeping and documentation in the electronic Housing Software Program.
• Personal and client accountability.
• Alcohol and Drug testing of clients on a regular and random basis and document results properly. Notifying the Supervisor when necessary.
• Documentation of client interactions and Incidents with all pertinent information in the housing software program.
• Completes and maintains all projects given by the Program Manager or Program Director.
• Client Supervision – Supervising clients is one of the primary areas of focus for lead technicians. Supervision is defined as observing and directing the clients while they are in our program. While at our facilities, technicians must provide them with a safe environment, in which they recover, as it is an essential aspect to our helping them. As a lead technician, you are the lead role model in our clients’ lives, your standard of living must be kept at a level for which they will strive. You must always maintain a professional attitude, refrain from the use of profanity, refrain from speaking in a demeaning or belittling way with clients, maintain a healthy boundary, and work positively with other members of the team. Always come from a position of care and concern with the clients’ best interest in mind. Keep an open line of communication with all staff via progress reports whether written or verbal. Random Drug and Alcohol testing, room and property searches will also be required.
• Property Management – Our facilities must be kept to the highest standard in terms of cleanliness, safety, and functionality to contribute to a positive client experience. Their immediate living environment plays a huge part in providing them with a positive treatment experience. Lead Techs are required to oversee chores, inventory food, and cleaning supplies in the facility and perform scheduled inspections of the premises. Some minor maintenance of the property as needed or reporting necessary repairs that are beyond your scope of expertise to the facilities department on a timely basis. Lead Techs must prepare the living quarters upon discharge of a client, making room and bed ready for the next intake ie. Launder bedding, mop, and wipe down the furniture.
