About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving a state of high quality performance at our Supplier partners through the application and practice of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) during the industrialization of Philips products/parts within the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. You will communicate at a business level the needs to IQ/OQ/PQ and the consequences to product quality, Factory Management, and Business Impact. You will troubleshoot and guide the supplier in failure modes associated with Process Validation and Verification, and you should be familiar with APQP and/or PPAP. Additionally, you will navigate and drive resolutions with cross-functional teams, and you should be an expert in problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and 6M. You will also communicate with stakeholders internally and externally about the challenges with validations and/or Design For Manufacturability. Your responsibilities will include leading and driving Supplier Quality Notifications and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), CAPA, and Supplier Initiation Change Requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Master's Degree is a plus).
  • 8+ years of engineering experience (Manufacturing Engineer and/or Product Quality is a plus).
  • Experience as a Technical Lead or in Project Management.
  • Strong Manufacturing Engineering background to drive problem solving and E2E process improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong commodities knowledge in Extrusion, Stent, Sheet metal, machining, and electronics.
