About The Position

Saab, Inc. has a career opportunity for a dynamic, results-oriented Lead Supplier Program Manager (SPM) to join the Supply Chain team. As an SPM, you will manage all aspects of a program’s relationship with its critical suppliers and their material deliveries, which are vital to the success and timely execution of Saab programs. Responsibilities include: Lead the strategic management of various suppliers and their material deliveries. Coordinate and lead weekly teleconferences to review the status of purchase orders, material schedules, and anticipated deliveries. Track, maintain, and report metrics related to supplier on-time delivery and associated risks. Develop, track, and update material forecasts that contribute to the timely recognition of forecasted revenue commitments to the business. Provide weekly updates to Supply Chain leadership on program accomplishments, milestones, current actions, and risks. Lead and/or participate in efforts to provide material cost and labor inputs for proposal activities. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with critical suppliers, covering performance in quality, cost, and delivery. Lead the resolution of technical and programmatic supplier issues. Assist with metrics, reporting, continuous improvement, and other strategic initiatives. Ability to travel 15%–25%, both domestically and internationally, in support of program and business development efforts. Compensation Range: $115,700 - $150,500 #CJ The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Requirements

  • Supply chain experience supporting the U.S. Government, Department of Defense, or Federal Aviation Administration.
  • BA/BS degree with 8+ years of experience, or MBA/MS/JD degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the procurement process, including sourcing, qualifying suppliers, placing orders, tracking on-time deliveries, and expediting.
  • Experience navigating ERP systems.
  • Experience with contracting methods and types.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply sound judgment and creativity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen, including the ability to determine cost reasonableness.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance, if required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a production and/or development environment, preferably within aerospace and defense.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government, DoD, or FAA contracts.
  • Cross-functional experience working with Quality, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, or Program Management.
  • Continuous improvement experience (e.g., Black Belt, Green Belt).
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Experience interacting with programs and reporting to business leadership.
