Job Summary: The Lead Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for executing both quality and technical assessments at supplier locations to determine capability as well as supporting supplier source selection as the "Voice of Quality". Position will drive supplier process and systemic quality improvements using SPC, Lean and Six Sigma tools to prevent quality non-conformances. Individual will be required to collaborate with Suppliers, Procurement, Component Engineering and Operations to establish strategic and comprehensive AQP activities which are aligned to the business and meet customer expectations. This role is responsible for effective execution of the PPAP, Root Cause Corrective Actions, and determines appropriate stock levels by monitoring control over the volume of raw materials, parts in process and finished products.
