Directs and coordinates departmental activities in an industrial establishment through subordinates. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with supervisors to obtain data required for planning department activities, such as new commitments, the status of work in progress, and problems encountered. Assigns or delegates responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminates policy to supervisors. Gives work directions, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Coordinates department activities with those of other related departments to ensure efficiency and economy. Will screen and approve hiring employees and recommend termination, discharge, or transfer to the Production Manager/Quality Manager. Maintains quality control objectives and communicates objectives with production procedures with subordinate supervisors. Performs other duties as assigned.
