Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Subsystems Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer to join our Air Dominance team in Hazelwood, MO. BDS AD Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Responsibilities will include planning and organizing Environmental Control System (ECS) design work at the program level by developing integrated solutions to establish the system design. This position will be highly CAD oriented, using Teamcenter and NX tool suite, to design and release engineering.

  • Direct the development and documentation of large scale, complex mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design
  • Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort
  • Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
  • Serve as technical consultant for disposition, corrective actions and coordination with cross-functional groups to identify/implement solutions and drive strategic improvements relative to production processes
  • Coach and mentor others
  • Work under consultative direction
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experience working with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software such as Siemens TeamCenter, Dassault Systems ENOVIA, or equivalent.
  • 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
