Your greatest work is ahead! We are in search of a Lead Substation Engineer to join our diverse and fast-paced Pittsburgh, PA organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with various electric utility disciplines, playing a valuable part in leading and designing high voltage utility substation projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree.
  • Eight (8+) plus years of direct experience in substation design.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) license.
  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Experience leading a project team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation design for medium to large scale utilities/substations.
  • Take complete ownership of each project, including management of technical design, staffing, schedule, and budget.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Develop and review project proposals, including scopes of work and cost estimates.
  • Perform Quality Control reviews on medium to large substation projects.
  • Continually improve and maximize team quality and efficiency.
