About The Position

The position requires a valid Airframe License, with a preference for an Airframe & Powerplant license. If neither is held, a Repairman Certificate through Airborne is acceptable. The candidate must have two years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, ideally with an airline or MRO aircraft company. A thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service is essential, including company policy manuals, FARs, ADs, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals. The role demands the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings, as well as proficiency in using tools, gauges, and instruments necessary for the job. Understanding hazardous material handling and disposal is also required, along with possession of minimum required tools. Candidates must meet qualifications to obtain a SIDA badge and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Leadership qualities and the ability to work with others are crucial, as is the capacity to perform high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Valid Airframe License required (Valid Airframe & Powerplant preferred).
  • Two years' experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline and/or MRO aircraft company.
  • Thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal.
  • Possession of minimum required tools.
  • Qualifications to obtain a SIDA badge.

  • Thorough knowledge of work to be performed within a given classification.
  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions.
  • Possess leadership qualities and ability to cooperate and work with others.
  • Ability to perform high quality work in a reasonable length of time.

  • Ability to accomplish all job assignments with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately read, interpret, and carry out written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work in classification for a major portion of assigned working hours.
  • Lead, assign work to, and direct all work in conformance with classifications of employees assigned.
  • Instruct other employees in proper methods and procedures of performing jobs when required.
  • Read and interpret information, answer questions, review work in process, and check completed work to ensure quality and timely completion of all job assignments.
  • Eliminate ordinary difficulties encountered in regular job assignments.
  • Prepare and maintain records pertaining to job assignments as required.
  • Ensure satisfactory completion of work performed by employees assigned.
  • Refer any matters to Supervisor which are not within authority.
