WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Structural Engineer (Generation) to join our Power & Energy team in Houston, TX . The following location will also be considered: Hailey, ID, Seattle, WA, Overland Park, KS, Atlanta, GA, Oradell, NJ, Mt. Laurel, NJ and Boise, ID. Your Impact Design light foundations and structures for solar farms, battery energy storage facilities, and substation projects Design heavy foundations and structures for large power generation projects: generators, turbines, transformers, pipe racks, gas compressors, metal building systems, and masonry walls/buildings. Design structural steel systems for buildings, Platforms, equipment supports, etc. Coordinate design requirements with drafter/designers Occasionally travel to clients and projects and sites to interface with clients, verify existing conditions, and monitor construction progress (5%-10% travel) Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner Proactively collaborate with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, local, and privately funded improvement and development projects, as well as proposal and business development opportunities. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
