Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 5+ years of Materials, Sourcing, Costing, or relevant experience in Manufacturing.
  • Strong material expertise in the Footwear or Apparel industry required.
  • Great knowledge of material suppliers landscape, with technical manufacturing expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to go the extra mile to find solutions.
  • Must be comfortable with navigating ambiguity, and have the ability to navigate through a complicated stakeholder matrix to achieve results and drive strategic decision-making.
  • A team player to work collaboratively cross-functionally, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong growth mindset.
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
  • Cultural awareness and a champion for diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Ability to travel 5%.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Innovations teams to understand the landscape of what's coming next in materials for both Footwear and Apparel.
  • Drive the cross-functional collaboration on behalf of the Material Supply Chain with Innovation teams, finished goods teams, and materials teams to ensure a successful initial marketplace launch of material innovations.
  • Establish a sustainable collaboration model with cross-functional teams, including clear roles and responsibilities for each function, and processes and activities that align to the consumer code.
  • Develop and deploy material sourcing strategies to scale innovation into inline products, including supplier evaluation and scalability assessment, leveraging cross-functional support for critical inputs such as material forecast, vendor capacity, costing and commercial agreements.
  • Provide timely updates on material innovations, launches, scalability readiness, constraints, and any relevant key insights to supply chain stakeholders.
