About The Position

The Lead Storekeeper at DYNMCDERMOTT PETROLEUM is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a team involved in various store functions, including receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and equipment. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations and maintains inventory accuracy within company standards. The Lead Storekeeper also provides technical guidance to the workforce and manages the handling of hazardous materials, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in a shipping and receiving warehouse environment.
• 2 years of inventory control experience.
• Technical skills to operate a real-time, computer-based inventory control system.
• Ability to operate materials handling equipment such as electric and motor-driven forklifts.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the SAP Management System.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the activities of an assigned group of employees performing store functions.
• Maintain accountability of records in a production warehouse environment in compliance with federal regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained within company standards.
• Ensure compliance with CFR 49 for the preparation and shipment of hazardous materials.
• Maintain the hazardous material central accumulation area in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Perform data input into the SAP system for receiving, issuing, and shipping materials.
• Ensure maximum physical protection of material and equipment.
• Work with other departments to ensure timely availability of necessary materials for scheduled work.
• Oversee compliance with storage and handling of health hazard materials and other specialized materials.
• Manage segregation of storage inventory by Use Code.
