Note : Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Responsible for activities including, but not limited to decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation including various software applications, assembly, and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and working in collaboration with surgical partners to provide accurate and complete surgical instrumentation and needed supplies. Full Time Evenings
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- IAHCSMM or CBSPD certified.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year in sterile processing.
Responsibilities
- Performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains supplies and equipment for use in patient care.
- Monitors supply inventory and par levels.
- Ensures all log books are kept up to date, generates instrument orders, and coordinates with department managers to ensure that instrument trays/count sheets are kept current.
- Works in coordination with OR/OB/Cath Lab personnel to ensure accuracy of instrument trays.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned or required.
