About The Position

NOTICE OF VACANCY Lead Special Education Teacher School Year 2025-2026 Price’s Fork Elementary School Do you have a passion for helping students? The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for a lead elementary special education teaching position that is available at Price’s Fork Elementary School. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement in area to which assigned
• Possess knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction
• Possess knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
