About The Position

The Lead Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Design and Development sourcing needs from beginning to end and is the department expert in our global partners. Collaboratively sources fabrics and components for RDI (Research, Development & Innovation) team. This position works closely with internal customers and international manufacturers. Organize and maintain reference information - physical and virtual. Communicates related details and creates new reference materials as needed for new item information sharing. Help research and implement new potential factories, as the need arises.

Requirements

• Ability to calculate and understand figures and amounts such as discounts, gross margin, yield, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to draft essential formulas for needed calculations in systems such as Excel.
• Ability to draft written documents utilizing proper English grammar and punctuation.
• High School Diploma required; 3 years related experience and/or training preferred
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software including intermediate Word and Excel skills; knowledge of Adobe platforms is helpful
• Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend and move inside the office to access files and product
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery
• The person in this position frequently communicates with overseas factories and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner
• Ability to move 10-20 lbs occasionally throughout day
• Able to hear a telephone ring

Responsibilities

• Pricing Monitoring and Maintenance:
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining factory price lists which includes:
• Ensures newly added options pricing aligns with other approved factories.
• Responsible for comparing factory price list to stock fabric book and maintaining / communicating changes.
• Fabric, Techniques, Components and Shapes: Sourcing collaboration between RDI, PD and Asian Sourcing Manager as well as factories and suppliers
• Responsible for yearly - new stock fabric book implementation.
• Coordinate substrate lab dips to meet internal and/or customer expectations
• Responsible for sourcing new fabrics, decoration techniques and components in collaboration with our internal Research and Development team.
• Provide testing documentation on new substrates to validate attribute claims. This can come from supplier or testing will need to be requested through product compliance team at OC
• Maintain a library of the current books of threads used by each factory
• Maintain fabric database and fabric library to support seasonal inspiration
• Nonstock fabric maintenance including system maintenance and communicating internally
• Coordinate in development of shapes by creating individual tech packs and QC checking
• Coordinate in development of Shape Guides
• Data Accuracy and Maintenance
• Responsible for updating and adding sourced items into the internal development system and communication portals.
• Assist with coordinating new factory implementation, including internal set-up, and training
• Assist with maintenance and organization of the Sourcing Room
• Monthly Sourcing Review Meetings to review current projects and review any new request

• Fabrics, caps, flits, sweatbands, visor boards etc.

• Assist Samples Coordinator with checking in samples, L/HT/Sticker/Packaging requests & Daily Communication Points when needed.
