About The Position

This position is responsible for: Lead and participates in the work performed by employees, beneficiaries and/or community service workers in the warehouse; ensures that all donated items are processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards; ensures the thrift store remains adequately stocked.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D AND
  • One (2) year progressively responsible experience working in a warehouse work with a list six-month experience in a lead capacity OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Ability to operate a cash register.
  • Ability to perform routine mathematical computations and count change.
  • Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (50-100lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility: duties are usually performed plus operating a vehicle.
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Serves as lead worker to warehouse staff (employees, beneficiaries, and community service workers); schedules and monitors their work.
  • Ensures the work in performed in compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors the supply of items available in the thrift store in order to determine the areas needing additional stock from the warehouse.
