About The Position

The position works under the direction of the Sort Department Supervisor to coordinate activities on 3rd shift Sort Department to meet production goals. The Lead will ensure employees are completing assigned tasks and maintain the required quality documentation. In addition, the Lead will be knowledgeable to operate the quality sorting machines if needed for coverage.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Forklift License-for Sit Down and Stand Up Forklifts.
• Previous Team Lead or Supervisory experience.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient Computer skills with Google Documents and Spreadsheets.
• Performs all duties in a quality conscious and safe manner.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area daily.
• Ability to work independently and direct other's work to meet daily production goals.
• Required HS Diploma/GED OR Relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs all employee tasks on the assigned shift and reports any employee issues to the Sorting Supervisor.
• Follows production schedule as assigned by the Supervisor to ensure work is completed during the shift.
• Maintains all required Quality documents as required to ensure a quality product is shipped to our customers.
• Responsible for verifying work completed, such as sort machine properly set, verifying hand sort weight, and use of Quality gaging and measuring instruments.
• Works with Supervisor and other Team Leads to help improve efficiencies in the department.
• Function as back up Machine Operator or Hand sort as needed.
• Ensure all established policies and procedures for safe operation of equipment are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.
