About The Position

At Klaviyo, our Partnerships team is a force-multiplier. They build, educate and enable our large ecosystem of partners, helping Klaviyo expand its footprint and impact. As a Lead Partner Solution Architect, your mission is to be a technical relationship owner for our most strategic global partners. You will lead our technical engagement strategy for a select group of Global System Integrators (GSIs) ensuring we are aligned on how we go-to-market together. You will sit on the Presales team, reporting to the global leader of the org, collaborating closely with Solution Architects that work with our sales team. This is a team of builders. We dive deep, take a consultant-first mindset, and develop solutions that ensure long term success for our customers and partners. We use engagements with prospects and partners as an opportunity to learn, prototype, and ship meaningful improvements to the Klaviyo experience. We look for interesting problems and aim for solutions that are extensible and reusable. Some examples of what we’ve built in the past include: Wrote reusable integration specifications and reference architectures for customers hosting their eCommerce stores on non-standard platforms, ensuring seamless data flow while maintaining platform integrity Modified open-source codebases to accommodate specialized data sync requirements, demonstrating our ability to adapt core integrations Built Klaviyo's first ever public chrome extension, which allows anyone (marketer or developer) to troubleshoot and audit their front end API calls being sent to Klaviyo more easily If you’re a creator that gets excited by driving technical success and always staying at the technical frontier while working on high-impact partner engagements, this could be for you. What you’ll get in return is the opportunity to be part of an extremely high-performing, strategically-important team that works at the exciting intersection of engineering, partnerships, sales, and customer engagements.

Requirements

  • Strategic Technical Leader: 7+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Solution Engineering, Technical Consulting, or similar. You have a proven ability to stay ahead of the evolving technical landscape, integrate modern, optimized solutions, and deliver consistent value to complex enterprise customers.
  • High-Level Technical Literacy: You possess a strong architectural understanding of modern web technologies (e.g. JavaScript, Node.js, React) and practitioner-level understanding of how data is organized and moved (e.g. APIs, SDKs, iPaaS). While you may not be writing production code daily, you are really comfortable with APIs, navigating codebases, reviewing integration patterns, and "talking shop" with senior developers to solution around complex technical hurdles.
  • Ecosystem Expert: You possess strong knowledge in several of the following domains, with a proven ability to quickly learn new areas: marketing automation tools, customer data platforms (CDPs), e-commerce systems, mobile applications, analytics, ad tech, and data science. You understand how these systems interact in a global infrastructure and can articulate how Klaviyo fits into complex enterprise environments.
  • Executive Presence & Communication: You are an open, persuasive, yet honest communicator. You have a wide range, able to deliver value to stakeholders at all levels - from director to developer - with the ability to influence technical decision-makers and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic Sales Mindset: You are driven by customer outcomes. You understand how to navigate multi-threaded, complex enterprise deals and are familiar with, or can quickly learn, structured sales methodologies like MEDDPICC.
  • Independent & Ambitious: You thrive in ambiguity. You can take a high-level goal (e.g., "Enable this GSI’s Marketing Practice") and build the technical roadmap and enablement strategy to make it a reality.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Technical Enablement: Act as the primary technical point of contact for GSIs. You will design and deliver deep-dive technical workshops, certification paths, and training sessions focusing on critical areas like data modeling, complex integration patterns, and scalable solution designs. You’ll convert partner architects and consultants into Klaviyo experts.
  • Demo & Sandbox Enablement: Empower partners to showcase the full power of Klaviyo. You will facilitate and guide the creation of specialized partner environments, providing them with the accounts, tooling, and technical guidance to deliver high-impact demos, sandboxes, and custom Proofs of Concept (POCs).
  • Joint GTM Strategy & Content: Collaborate with the Partnerships team to build technical "blueprints," reference architectures, and co-branded solution packages that enable partners to take Klaviyo to market within their existing portfolios.
  • RFP Strategy & Execution: Immerse yourself in the RFP process with partners to identify and qualify good-fit accounts. Develop strategies and assets to shape and accelerate RFPs, ensuring Klaviyo and our partners are positioned to win.
  • Executive Thought Leadership: Build consultative, trusted relationships with C-level executives and technical leads. You will serve as a technical advisor, helping them understand how Klaviyo drives value and transformation for their clients.
  • The "Voice of the Partner": Advocate for our partners internally. You will synthesize feedback from GSI engagements to influence the Klaviyo product roadmap, ensuring we are building the APIs, tooling, and enterprise features required by partners.
  • Prototyping & Scale: Identify recurring technical challenges within GSI implementations and design scalable, reusable solutions—whether it’s a custom integration framework, a specialized middleware connector, or a diagnostic tool.
